My friend and I come to this restaurant every few weeks for a catch-up, and Megan is a big reason we keep coming back. She’s absolutely fantastic—always friendly, attentive, and nothing is ever too much trouble for her. She even remembers the little details about what we like, the wine and cheese!! Megan truly goes above and beyond, and her warm, welcoming attitude makes the dining experience even better. We can’t recommend her enough!

We have eaten lunch here several times now and always a good experience, especially the friendly and efficient service (last time from Esra). Tasty food, menu has plenty of choice depending on how hungry you’re feeling and includes vegan and vegetarian, tables aren’t too crowded. Babies are welcome, and dogs in some areas. Toilets are clean at this time of day. The staff are lovely.

It’s our first time at Graffin had a Sunday roast, food was delicious!! Serving was brilliant, Esra was amazing who look after us.

We had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday at The Griffin in Caversham, and I can honestly say it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The food was exceptional—beautifully presented, full of flavour, and cooked to perfection. Every dish we ordered exceeded expectations, from the starters to the desserts, making it a truly memorable meal.
A special mention must go to Seyna, who was an absolute star. She was incredibly attentive, friendly, and helpful throughout the evening, making sure we had everything we needed without ever being intrusive. Her warm and welcoming nature added to the wonderful atmosphere, and she truly made our evening even more special. Seyna is a credit to the team, and we will absolutely be returning—not just for the great food but also to see her again!
Thank you to The Griffin for a fantastic evening. We can’t wait to come back soon!

This was the last place my father dined at before he died, food ok but along with dealing with his affairs and funeral we have to contend with a hefty parking fine for the time spent dining in the restaurant! appalling :( We have a bank statement showing he spent £65 there

Just celebrated my birthday with my family for dinner, I had a great evening and we all thoroughly enjoyed the food and drinks and atmosphere. Staff are friendly, service is efficient and overall good value for money. Thank you for making my birthday treat so enjoyable.

Had a very nice meal here on a Friday evening. Fish pie special was tasty. Great service from our waitress, Esra. The only negative was we found one of the barmen a bit rude/curt when enquiring about a drink we were waiting for.

We visited this nice and cosy pub to meet couple of friends. We came all the way from London. Despite its nice place but food was cold and also the portions were not enough. Moreover, not value for money.
